Rooted Coffee Co. x Run For Clare

We are so excited to share our first-ever collaboration! Starting Tuesday August 2, you can order the Run For Clare bowl at Rooted Coffee Co. in Walnut Creek. The Run For Clare bowl is a plant-based acai bowl, just like Clare would have wanted, with kiwis, strawberries, granola and coconut flakes. Best of all, Rooted Coffee Co. is donating $4 from every bowl to our August organization, One Tree Planted. That means each Run For Clare bowl sold four trees will be planted throughout the world.

We are grateful to work with a local Walnut Creek business that shares our value of sustainability. Rooted Coffee Co is a completely plant based coffee shop that started as a booth at the Walnut Creek Farmers Market. Now, they have two thriving brick and mortar locations.

It all started with an email. We reached out to Rooted to share why we started Run For Clare and presented the idea of collaborating on a product. Of course we thought it was a great idea, but we were shocked when they quickly replied agreeing to work with us. It was a stroke of fate when we learned that one of Clare’s classmates at Las Lomas, and teammate on Cross Country, Michael Jervis, was now the manager at Rooted and would be helping us with this initiative. It is amazing that someone who personally knew Clare can help us share her legacy with customers.
